Background
Martin and Phil started recording original material together in 1991, eventually performing as Odd Man Out, along with former Guitarist (Richard) and Drummer (Paul). When Paul emigrated to Australia in 2002, we were joined on drums by Greg (formerly of Snatch 22) and on vocals by Dave. We discovered a shared passion for recreating our favourite rock and pop music of the 1970s, and reformed as The Persuaders, inspired by the iconic 1970’s TV show. Then, for two decades, had lots of fun playing hundreds of private functions, pub gigs and festivals.
The New Persuaders was born in 2024, with the addition of Eliot, keyboard wizard from progressive rock band The Far Meadow. This has opened up a wonderful new repertoire, which we cannot wait to share with you…
